Putting the business cards together. I'm still working with details and many of them are interchangable. Just need to figure out which ones are the most cohesive once the letterhead is chosen. The last one in the bottom right corner is printed in ivory on white - it's very subtle but I don't like it with the other lettering.

Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am a fan of the bottom picture's business cards. However, I am still not feeling the swirly patterns. Perhaps if there were less of them? I feel like it is the only place that they show up completely by themselves, and they seem too busy.
I really like the idea of just a touch of the curly nature, found in the white letterhead of this letterhead: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_GySrLuUI1NQ/S4VjRnL0i5I/AAAAAAAAAdI/jLmyA-dSdWg/s1600-h/Full+board+Pattern+Scroll.jpg as well as the small touch found in the business cards I like. Perhaps a hybrid of the touch of swirl and the solid brown back with the left-justified type found in the lower right-hand corner of the first image in this post?
John
I really love the first ones at the top (very top left & top right), if you were to use them as front & back. The use of the fossil as a full-bleed background image is fascinating, and as they said in class, it looks very painterly and reminiscent of classical artwork. I would add the "M" on that one, just in solid white, above the website.
ReplyDeleteThe third image down on the right (white background with repeated logo across bottom) works nicely too as the back of a card. I think it's because the logo only uses one color, with the text being the color of the paper stock. It's simple and creates a visual texture without being overwhelming.
The one below that with the "M" clipped from the fossil image is beautiful as well, but I think I would nix the purplish background color and leave it white, and maybe change the text to the purple instead.
You have a lot of options! I would definitely incorporate the fossil image somehow.
